West Lancashire Borough Council has recently been considering plans to build new affordable Council homes at Flordon, Birch Green, Skelmersdale. The Council has involved their development company Tawd Valley Developments Ltd to explore the options.
The scheme proposal consists of 16 affordable homes all of which are 1 bedroom 2-person cottage style apartments which span across two sites. 12 apartments will be on site one and 4 apartments will be on site two. The ground floor apartments will be accessible and adaptable meaning they are suitable for those with limited mobility.
16 car park spaces are to be provided which are bay type and replicates the current parking across the Flordon estate. All properties will also have access to a communal landscaped garden.
